a poem, the book & a brief intro

it seems we should probably post something, since a. it's been a bit and b. we haven't actually written anything in a few days so thought we'd update our blog. i also wanted to introduce us formally because i realize, though admittedly late, that we haven't yet met.

but it's pretty simple: paper limbs is riwan and zeena.

we work together not just because we are friends, but because we inspire eachother. and what better relationship can there be, really? except besides maybe blood relatives. you get the point though.

and with that, we'll leave you with one of the poems from the book we have pending that is a near-complete work in progress. feel free to leave a comment and let us know what you think. feedback is like mother's milk for writers:

scraps

A Night
Left out neat
Of a few or four
Creaseless sheets

Curled
Back, my folly
Bent over paperwhites
Just like a dolly

There I
The me, the lone
Scribe the pleasure
You had shown

Drawn
Chest aches chart
The blank books
Into a cloth heart

Tears
Like ailing rain
Now Close the particular
As lids to pain

In Death
Will love retreat
Stooped into a letter
Packaged in sleep?

Scraps
And Cotton Fold out
Of lips that mouth
A scribbled shout
